Corteva has expanded its existing genome-sequencing partnership with PacBio, a provider of genomic sequencing solutions. The initial phase of the collaboration saw the development of scaled DNA extraction, shearing, and library preparation workflows to characterise Corteva’s collection of crop and microbial samples. The companies will now look to utilise PacBio's Revio sequencing system to generate long-read sequencing data, which will be used to study the genetic diversity of plants and microbes and help increase Corteva's annual sequencing capacity and ultimately improve their seed and crop protection research and production programs.
