Corteva Receives Nonregulated Status for DP23211 Maize

DECEMBER 1, 2023

The USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has determined that DP23211 maize, which has been developed using genetic engineering for insect resistance to western corn rootworm and tolerance to glufosinate-ammonium herbicides, is no longer considered regulated. The decision follows a submission from Pioneer Hi-Bred (a Corteva brand), and subsequent evaluation of the information, public feedback, environmental assessment and a plant pest risk assessment.
