Corteva to Launch Vorceed Enlist Maize in the US

MARCH 7, 2023

Corteva has announced plans for the commercial launch of Vorceed Enlist maize products in the US. Growers in the country will be able to access the technology across the Pioneer, Dairyland and Brevant seed brands through the exclusive Corteva Horizon Network in areas of high corn rootworm pressure in the US Corn Belt.

First announced in 2022 (see AgbioNews Mar 11, 2022), Vorceed Enlist provides 3 modes of action for above-ground insect protection; 3 modes of action for below-ground insect protection, featuring a new RNAi mode of action; as well as tolerance to a range of herbicides, including 2,4-D, glyphosate, glufosinate and ‘fop’ (aryloxyphenoxypropionate) herbicides.

Corteva's current introductory plans for Vorceed Enlist maize include early access for select farmers through the Corteva Horizon Network in 2023, with expansion to Canada and advancement of a broader set of genetic backgrounds and maturities expected mid-decade. By 2025-2030, Corteva expects Vorceed Enlist maize to become the company’s leading triple-stack offering for corn rootworm control.
