The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has reported a positive scientific opinion of Bayer's genetically modified (GM) insect resistant maize genetic event MON 95479 for import, processing, and food and feed uses. The MON 93579 genetic event provides protection against specific lepidopteran pests via the expression of Cry1B.868 and Cry1Da_7 genes.
