Inari and Beck's Hybrids have entered into a business and R&D collaboration with the intention to provide more diverse, sustainable and competitive seed choices for farmers. The combination of Inari’s novel predictive design and multiplex gene-editing technology with Beck’s established maize research and breeding program is expected to increase product testing capabilities and expand both companies’ capacity for innovation.

The Inari proprietary SEEDesign platform uses AI to power predictive design capabilities to understand the plant genome and predict behavioural outcomes to improve plant performance. Inari also has access to a combination of gene editing tools which are intended to accelerate the development of improved crop varieties. Inari recently secured $208 million in Series D funding (see AgbioNews May 13, 2021).
