The Philippines' Department of Agriculture-Philippine Rice Research Institute (DA-PhilRice) has received a decision from the Court of Appeals upholding the writ against vitamin A-enriched Golden Rice, also known as Malusog Rice, in the country. The decision revokes the biosafety permit for commercial propagation of Golden Rice, issued in July 2021 (see AgbioNews Jul 23, 2021).
