Pioneer has announced 60 new maize varieties that will be available for growers in the US for the 2024 season. As part of this, the company will make available 23 Pioneer hybrids with Vorceed Enlist technology, which provides 3 modes of action for above-ground insect protection; 3 modes of action for below-ground insect protection, featuring a new RNAi mode of action; as well as tolerance to a range of herbicides, including 2,4-D, glyphosate, glufosinate and ‘fop’ (aryloxyphenoxypropionate) herbicides.

In addition, Pioneer will offer 22 new Pioneer brand PowerCore Enlist products, which provide multiple modes of action for the control of pests including European corn borer, southwestern corn borer, fall armyworm and black cutworm, as well as tolerance to 2,4-D, glyphosate, glufosinate, and 'fop' herbicides.

The company is also introducing PowerCore Ultra Enlist technology in 2024, which includes an additional mode of action for increased efficacy against ear-feeding pests such as corn earworm and western bean cutworm. PowerCore Ultra Enlist will be available in both integrated and structured refuge options.
