PlantArcBio, an ag-biotech company engaged in research and development in the field of gene discovery and biological components for improving plant traits, has received a patent from the European Patent Office (EPO) for its gene discovery platform, Direct in Plant (DIP). The DIP technology has been developed to discover novel genes that enhance various target traits to support the development of more resilient crops with regard to biotic and abiotic stresses.

Recently the company has developed a new bio-stimulant technology platform in partnership with ICL (see AgbioNews Jul 21, 2022); collaborated on RNAi research withTel Aviv University (AgbioNews Mar 11, 2022); and received a regulatory exemption from the USDA regarding its HPPD-tolerant soybean and cotton (AgbioNews Jan 5, 2022).
