The Israel-based agricultural biotechnology company PlantArcBio has received approval from the USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) for the planting, breeding and commercialisation of soybeans modified using PlantArcBio’s novel PPO herbicide tolerance gene. The company’s PPO herbicide tolerant trait in soybean allows for the use of several classes of PPO herbicides to control resistant and hard-to-control weeds.
