Rasi Seeds has entered into a strategic licensing agreement with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research – National Institute for Plant Biotechnology (ICAR-NIPB) through which ICAR-NIPB's Cry1Fa1 gene technology has been transferred to Rasi Seeds. The Cry1Fa1 gene has been developed to confer resistance to key lepidopteran insect pests, including cotton bollworm (Helicoverpa armigera).
