US EPA Recieves Applications for New Active Ingredients

FEBRUARY 23, 2023
The US EPA has received applications to register pesticide products containing active ingredients not included in any currently registered pesticide products:
  • JR Simplot Company - Ferrous sulfate heptahydrate at 100%: herbicide proposed for use as moss control on turf, lawns, and base of tree trunks.
  • Pioneer Hi-Bred International - Bacillus thuringiensis Cry1B.34 protein and the genetic material necessary at 0.04%: insecticide proposed for use in maize.
  • Pioneer Hi-Bred International - Bacillus thuringiensis Cry1Da2 protein and the genetic material necessary: insecticide proposed for use in maize.
  • Texas Corn Producers Board - Aspergillus flavus strains TC16F, TC35C, TC38B, and TC46G at 0.00024% each: fungicide proposed for use in maize to displace aflatoxin-producing strains of Aspergillus flavus.
