Annogen Enters Additional Crop Trait Collaboration

JANUARY 31, 2023

The Dutch biotechnology company Annogen has entered into a collaboration with a multinational agricultural company to test non-coding DNA fragments that are predicted to have an effect on the expression of important crop traits. The collaboration will focus on genome-wide regulatory profiles under normal and stimulatory conditions. The results are expected to open new opportunities to intentionally upregulate or downregulate the expression of important genes in crops. Annogen has previously entered into similar agreements with Keygene (see AgbioNews Mar 18, 2021) and two other agricultural companies (AgbioNews Apr 12, 2022 and AgbioNews Jun 9, 2021).
