BASF has announced a new canola variety, InVigor LR 4540P, providing growers with a TruFlex variety containing three traits. Along with the TruFlex trait, which provides tolerance to glyphosate, InVigor LR 4540P also contains the LibertyLink trait conferring tolerance to the herbicide Liberty (glufosinate ammonium) , and the PodGuard trait, which is intended to reduce pod shatter and seed loss at harvest. InVigor LR 4540P is scheduled for commercial release in time for the Australian 2024 cropping season.
