Bayer is to launch its Bollgard 3 XtendFlex cotton varieties in Brazil in 2024. Bollgard 3 XtendFlex provides resistance to select lepidopteran insect pests as well as tolerance to the herbicides glyphosate, glufosinate and dicamba. Bayer received Brazilian cultivation approval for the technology in 2018 (see AgbioInvestor GM Monitor).
