Corteva to Conduct GM Soybean Field Trials in Japan

Corteva has notified the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and the Ministry of the Environment of its intention to conduct an isolated field trial of genetically modified (GM) soybean at its facility in Utsunomiya, pending regulatory approval. The GM soybean is to contain the lepidopteran resistance genes cry1B.34.1, cry1B.61.1 and ipd083Cb as well as the ALS herbicide tolerance gene gm-hra_1.
