The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has reported a positive scientific opinion of Bayer’s genetically modified (GM) insect-resistant MON 95275 maize for import, processing and food and feed uses. MON 95275 maize varieties possess three insect resistance genes (mpp75Aa1.1, vpb4Da2, and dvSnf7) which provides targeted control of corn rootworm through the expression of dvSnf7 dsRNA, a novel RNAi-based mode of action.
