GenXtraits, a California-based crop genomics company, has announced the closing of its first capital raise. The proceeds will be used to consolidate and expand the company's intellectual property (IP) technology portfolio for the genetic control of key crop traits such as yield potential, stress tolerance and nutrition. The company's foundational IP platform centres on a method of controlling the translation of genetic materials into functional proteins through a newly discovered level of genome regulation. Financial details of the fundraising were not disclosed.
